Chris Justice is a third-generation electrical engineer who has worked in leadership for numerous design firms and tech startups since 1998. Holly Justice started her career as an art director and graphic designer at Hallmark Cards, eventually becoming responsible for $140MM annual revenue across multiple product lines. In 2013, Chris and Holly decided to apply the lessons they’d learned about production, research, leadership and service over the previous 15 years to something bigger.
Armed only with a single multimeter, soldering iron, and entry-level oscilloscope, Chris and Holly began evolving their unfinished basement into something more.
Early projects included tables for precisely positioning patients during spinal surgery, accessories for an implantable heart pump and bank alarm systems.
The two-person operation quickly grew as Chris and Holly brought on electrical, mechanical, and software engineers. Over time, Engenious expanded to include project managers and operations staff, building the foundation for the (90-person) team we are today.
Over our history, Engenious has worked with a broad cross-section of clients, from bootstrapping startups to many of the biggest medical device companies in the world.
