We are a creative product design organization, and our foundation is an effective team of people who love developing new things. The Engenious Design Systems Team is comprised of Systems Engineers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators.

The people on this team could probably teach a master class on to-do lists and get an almost-unhealthy thrill from checking things off lists. Efficiency might be their middle name. They are a 10 on the attention-to-detail scale and constantly notice details that others miss. They use Excel and Word like a carpenter uses a nail gun. They thrive on variety, sense of urgency, and no instruction book. They can collaborate better than synchronized swimmers while acting as stabilizing and forward-thinking influencers amidst the ups and downs of product development.

A Design Project Manager requires 3-5 years of management in product design/development. If an individual hasn’t quite reached that level of experience, a Design Project Coordinator position might be a perfect right-now fit. One of our cultural aspirations is continual improvement and we provide mentorship and coaching for individuals with a goal of going from a coordinator to a manager role.

With us, you will:

  • Provide project leadership, in partnership with technical leads/systems engineers and voice of customer input to designers and engineers.
  • Be a point of contact to customer and internal team for product performance.

We have:

  • 100% focus on design and we get to be creative every day
  • A hands-on approach to engineering where we get to design, build and test advanced technology products
  • A variety of clients and products, so it never gets dull around here
  • An awesome prototyping lab with great equipment and tools including four 3D printers, a 4-axis CNC, casting and painting equipment, and an ever-growing array of fabrication tools.
  • A playground for electronics; otherwise known as a lab with great equipment and tools.
  • An infectious sense of urgency and important work to do
  • Excellent full-time benefits that include health/life/dental/vision insurance, profit sharing, and an exceptional PTO program.

OUR TEAM IS GUIDED BY THESE FOUR CULTURAL ASPIRATIONS

Relate

We invest in healthy relationships with our team, clients, suppliers, partners, and our community.

Create

We create new products that improve lives.

Produce

We work quickly to get what’s important done.

Improve

We have healthy unrest with the status quo, and we take responsibility to make things better.

Where We Work

We don’t just dream up ideas, we love building them too. We are designers, engineers, and craftspeople. That’s why we continue to stock our lab and shop with an ever-increasing array of great tools and equipment. Sometimes we think we can build just about anything without stepping outside our offices! It’s like a builders’ playground in our workshops.

Our workspace is constantly changing as we work to make it a better and more creative space that inspires creative work, out-of-box thinking, and good old-fashioned hands-on productivity.

Beyond Your Typical Office Space

We work in an airy, creative space designed to cultivate fresh ideas, inspiration, and collaboration.

Our electronics lab is spacious, well-equipped, and constantly buzzing with activity (and 3D Printers). In our model shop, you’ll hear the sounds of designs being milled, drilled, drafted, and crafted. Our open kitchen is the perfect spot enjoy a meal and a chat, or make your own espresso drink. Fear not: one of many the coffee-lovers in our group would love to show you how they craft the perfect cup.

The layout is complete with modern furnishings, ergonomic chairs, dedicated quiet areas, private meeting rooms, and private phone booth (it’s bigger on the inside).

At our office, the WiFi is excellent, the coffee is great, and you can expect to overhear conversations that range from computational fluid dynamics to disc golf, to the antics of our kids/pets, and everything in between.

Location! Location! Location!

It’s all about location, and we think we’ve got a good one. Conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 435 and Roe Avenue, we have easy access to some of the best pockets in the KC metro.

Looking for lunch? We are nestled in a charming corner of Overland Park with 14 restaurants within walking distance of our office!

Need to stretch your legs? Take a stroll or bike on Indian Creek Trail, a 26-mile Greenway that runs right by our offices. Or visit one of the five parks that are within walking distance from our front door. We’re also a short drive from disc golf courses, splash pads, a giant aquatic center, baseball fields, and a golf entertainment complex.

Errands are a breeze! Our office is a short drive to Town Center Plaza (an upscale shopping center) or Corinth Square (more shops and restaurants) and five different grocery stores (including Sprouts and Trader Joes!). There is also a post office within walking distance.

Time for the important stuff: BBQ! There are six BBQ restaurants in the immediate area. And yes, we’ve tried them all.

Can't Find What You're Looking For?

Send us a note if you think you would bring something great to our team; even if it’s not listed as an opening.
