Assembler or Assembly Technician

The Assembler or Assembly Technician is part of the Engenious build team This position is responsible for hand assembly and test of medical devices and other high-technology products created at Engenious Design. Technicians receive direct instruction, assistance and oversight support. They are mechanically-inclined, hands-on and detail-oriented. This position is temporary and may support full-time or part time depending on project needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct all work with safety as the top priority.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
  • Operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, scissors and tweezers with precision.
  • Repeatedly assemble electronic and mechanical devices by accurately following written assembly instructions and verbal direction.
  • Perform incoming inspection of components to a written specification and conduct end-of-line testing to a procedure with manager support.
  • Train to and follow Engenious Design’s standard operating procedures with supervisor support.
  • Maintain detailed written and digital records of assembly processes, components used, deviations, and any issues encountered during assembly.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to provide feedback and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels for assembly materials and components.
  • Use pre-selected PC software to start and monitor automated operations.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift boxes weighing 40 lbs and move materials around a lab environment.
